SEPTEMBER 2019

MONARCH:

Hi Prophets and Ladies:

Well it happened!!!

The large cones of ice cream from the fair caused it, plus others. I gained five pounds and more notches on my belt. I hope you all didn't get the same disease.

Did you see it? Kismet now has their own permanent name brick on display, along with others, at the Crawford County Fair Grounds. Thanks to PM Dave Ingalls for suggesting and carrying through with the idea.

We also donated $500.00 to Post #52 Vet-Nam Vets, to help defray the costs of mailing Christmas boxes to our armed service members overseas this year.

The PGA fall meeting is creeping upon us, Oct 17th and 18th, at Erepa Grotto. Friday night will be hospitality, Saturday will be meeting and dinner. This will be a joint meeting with the Empire State Grotto Association. This is a good time to support Kismet Grotto and the PGA.

See you all at our luncheon meeting, at the Saegertown American Legion, 1:00 PM September 19th Grotto meeting at 2:30 PM. come out for some good food and plenty of fellowship. Dress is leisure, just like going shopping.

SEE YOU ALL THERE

AUGUST 2019

MONARCH:

Hi Prophets and Ladies:

“Can you believe it??”

Its fair time already. Hot sausage sandwiches, garbage fries, ice cream and home made pies galore. I feel that I will go from a 42 inch, to a 44 without any problem, but it tastes good.

At our last meeting, we voted to put our name, Kismet Grotto, at the fair for a good many years. It will be a brick in the floor of the old Sportsman Club building, by the number one home show building. Look for it. We are planning other activities for us to do before the year ends.

Don't forget to support the PGA fall meeting in October, at Erepa Grotto. It will be a joint meeting between the PGA and the EGA from New York State.

Remember our luncheon meeting, at Saegertown American Legion, at 1:00 PM August 15th. Grotto meeting at 2:30PM

MENU

8 oz Sirloin Steak / choice of potato and sauteed green beans or steamed broccoli

Turkey melt / tri-colored potato salad

JULY 2019

MONARCH:

Hi Prophets and Ladies:

“WOW” What a picnic.

With all the confusion we had with the time and place (holding the picnic indoors or outdoors) everything turned out super. The fellowship was superb.

Sorry that PM Gerry Davis and Madelyn, had to return home from their trip to Supreme Council Session, due to the passing of PM Gerry's mother. They both have our utmost sympathy and condolences.

PM Dave Ingalls has found a way that we can get Kismet Grotto's out to the people of Crawford County for years to come.

Kismet Grotto will not be dark for the months of July and August. We will continue to have our luncheons. We will continue to have our luncheon through out the rest of the year.

PM Richard Mulcahy, Acacia Grotto, visited us to discuss the possibilty of merging our two grottos together, in the future. More discussions on the topic will need to be done.

Enjoy your summer and try not to get sunburned.

Fraternally yours,
Bill Latta, Monarch

MARCH 2019

MONARCH:

Hi Prophets and Ladies:

Fellowship is what it is all about.

We had a very good luncheon and meeting last month with twenty-two attending. It made me very happy to see how many were there. I believe we all had a good time and fellowship.

Thank you, Thank you (as Gomer would say) to PM Dave Shapter, PPGA for being our color guard and also to his wife Bev for visiting with us. His information about the upcoming PGA spring meeting, April 12th – 14th, at the Red Loin Inn, Harrisburg, was very informative.

Kismet Grotto is sponsoring the spring meeting for him. He will need some help at the meeting, so if you can attend, he would certainly appreciate it. Call PM Dave Ingalls, 720-1424, or myself for more details. Please make reservations by March 15, 2019.

Remember Kismet Grotto was one of the first grotto's to start the association, with PM E.J.(Cork) Randall as the first president.

PM Dave Ingalls will be Monarch for this meeting, as I am scheduled for a Roto-rooter in Pittsburgh that day. Just think, as I am laying on the table, you will be feeding the top end, while they will be looking at my bottom end. Oh well, the cycle of life goes on. Enjoy yourselves, see you in April.

Lunch at 1:00 PM, Meeting at 2:30 PM.

LUNCH MENU
8 oz sirloin steak / choice of potato / green beans or broccoli
Italian sausage burger / fresh cut fries / pub chips or side salad

OCTOBER 2018

MONARCH:

Hi Prophets and Ladies:

I wish the people and workers the best for working through the problems, that Mother Nature had imposed on them. The tornado was a sudden surprise. It was very heart warming to see how the first responders and the people of Conneautville pulled together quickly to give their help in this emergency, at the Rollingfield Home for the Elderly. God bless you all.

We will be having Linda Fink, from the Saegertown Heritage Society, present a tour of their museum, that is located across from the mizner Funeral Home, Broad St., Saegertown.

We will have a tour of the museum, and then a history of Saegertown and the surrounding area at 11:30 AM. She and her helper will also be joining ua at our luncheon. I understand, it will be very enlightening and benefical.

Come on out, get away for a day, enjoy yourselves, and join us for lunch. We need ya, relax and have some goodfellowship. See you all there.
